Scale 1:12. Plan shows the profile and details of a spar torpedo for a 37ft steam pinnace (1887). The title of the drawing is "Sketch shewing fittings for single outrigger spar Torpedo suitable for all 37ft to 48ft Steam Pinnaces Inclusive". The plan has been signed by the members of the Boats Armament Committee. The member of the Committee are R. Tracey [Captain of HMS Asia], Compton Domville [Captain of HMS Excellent], Henry Deadman [Chief Constructor at Portsmouth Dockyard 1887] and J. Wildish [Chief Constructor at Chatham Dockyard 1886-1887]. There is a Devonport Dockyard stamp dated 19 August 1887, a Chatham Dockyard stamp, dated 14 July 1887 and a Sheerness Dockyard stamp dated 30 July 1887 on the drawing.
