A distant starboard side view, taken from well abaft the beam, of the 3-masted topsail schooner Sir Winston Churchill (1966) under sail in the Solent at the start of the Solent-Skaw Tall Ships Race.
A distant starboard side view, taken from well abaft the beam, of the 3-masted topsail schooner Sir Winston Churchill (1966) under sail in the Solent at the start of the Solent-Skaw Tall Ships Race. She has all of her fore-and-sails set, except for the main topmast staysail and the mizzen topmast staysail. The sail mark TS K1 is on her mizzen. A large number of leisure and small craft are in the picture and in the background are the three square-riggers that took part, the American barque Eagle (1936), the West German barque Gorch Fock (1958) and the Polish ship Dar Pomorza (1909).
