A view of the harbour of Port Antonio, Jamaica with the cruise ship Starward (1968) sailing between Titchfield Peninsula and Navy Island taken from the refrigerated fruit carrier Jamaica Planter (1959). The photographer is probably looking north east by east from the port side of the ship towards West Harbour. Starward is situated on the right hand side about to sail in the gap between Navy Island and Titchfield Peninsula. A marking buoy and a navigation light are in the gap between Titchfield Prensula and Navy Island. The lighthouse at Folly Point is in the far distance. This is Slide 37 of Captain Henry P. Bird's lecture titled "Caribbean Cargoes", about his service as Second Officer on board Jamaica Planter (1959) and Port Officer for Jamaica Banana Producers Steam Ship Company based at Kingston, Jamaica from 6 January 1971 to 26 April 1971. The lecture consists of 45 slides.
