A Camper & Nicholsons Ltd workboat containing guests is close to the stem. Captain Swindells and the lady sponsor are looking up at the figurehead of a Red Lion holding an S.T.A. shield. The Sail Training Association flag that was used to cover the figurehead is hanging down. The ship's crew of trainees is mustered on the quayside and they are standing in two ranks with arms folded. Negatives numbers P50356 to P50360 and transparencies P50579CT to P50581CT and PCT19268 to PCT19270 were taken on the same occasion.
