A distant starboard side view of the Royal Navy battleships of 'B' Fleet at anchor in The Downs at the start of the annual fleet manoeuvres. The ships involved were the Revenge (1892), Nile (1888), Sans Pareil (1887), Trafalgar (1887), Anson (1886), Howe (1885), Benbow (1885), Camperdown (1885), Collingwood (1882), Colossus (1882), Edinburgh (1882) and Dreadnought (1875). To the right of centre is an unidentified, single funnelled paddle steamer under way. A note on the negative states that the photographer was using his Camera A.
