On board the Royal Navy armoured cruiser Black Prince (1904) while under construction on the stocks in the shipyard of Thames Iron Works Shipbuilding & Engineering Co. Ltd., at Blackwall, London. The photographer is looking aft from about frame 196 on the upper deck showing two men in bowler hats looking towards the stern. The deck planking is not complete but the skylights over the captain's cabins are in position. The Trinity House wharf and lighthouse is on the right. Two of the ten London County Council steam paddle ferries built by the Thames Iron Works are in the left background. A note on the negative says that the photographer is using Camera B.
