On board the Royal Navy armoured cruiser Black Prince (1904) while under construction on the stocks in the shipyard of Thames Iron Works Shipbuilding & Engineering Co. Ltd., at Blackwall, London. The photographer is looking to port from about frame 183 on the upper deck showing two shipwrights working on the barbette of the aft 9.2 inch gun mounting. One man is holding a bolt or spike in position while the other is about to hit it with a long handled hammer. A note on the negative says that the photographer is using Camera B.
