A slightly distant starboard near broadside view, taken from just abaft the beam, of the Royal Navy torpedo gunboat Circe (1892), presumably at anchor in The Downs. The photographer is on board another vessel and the Circe is almost hidden by a long swell with ony her bridge, masts, funnels and ventilators visible. A note on the negative says the photographer is using Camera B. Negatives numbers N18645 to N18647 were taken on the same occasion.
