The photographer is inside the covered slip looking to port and slightly aft showing timber baulks and rotating bedplates in the foreground with spectators beyond. A note on the original vertical format glass negative said the photographer is using Camera A. This negative has been broken and a copy negative has been produced from a photographic print.
