A starboard side view, taken from well ahead of the beam, of the Royal Navy iron screw corvette Active (1869) at anchor in The Downs or the Thames Estuary. She is the flagship of the Training Squadron. Her port anchor is deployed, her sails are very neatly stowed and she has boats boom rigged.
