A slightly distant port bow view of the Royal Navy steel screw corvette Calliope (1884) at anchor in The Downs.

A slightly distant port bow view of the Royal Navy steel screw corvette Calliope (1884) at anchor in The Downs. Her starboard anchor is deployed, her boat booms are rigged and her sails are very neatly stowed. A vertical format negative that is very slightly out of focus. A note on the negative says the photographer is using Camera A.
