A horse drawn, passenger carriage on the Pont de la Plage, Calais, France.
A horse drawn, passenger carriage on the Pont de la Plage, Calais, France. The photographer is looking south-east from the north side of the bridge. The carriage, drawn by two horses, is standing still on the cobbled street, which has two sets of tram tracks bedded into it. Partially hidden by one of the tram wire supporting columns is the Tour du Guet (the watchtower) and in the right background is the tower of le Beffroi in la place d'Armes.
