A slightly distant starboard side view, taken from ahead of the beam, of the Calais chasse maree CAL.100 (Fl. 1899) at anchor in The Downs, off Deal. She is a three masted, lug rigged vessel and her starboard anchor is deployed. Her port of registry is CAL.100 and the vessel is almost silhouette. The negative is slightly out of focus and is scratched. Deep-sea sailing vessels are at anchor on the horizon. A note of the negative says the photographer is using Camera B.
