A slightly distant starboard near broadside view, taken from only just ahead of the beam, of the Calais chasse maree CAL.100 (Fl. 1899) at anchor in The Downs, off Deal. She is a three masted, lug rigged vessel and her starboard anchor is deployed. Her port of registry is CAL.100. Deep-sea steam and sailing vessels and a ketch are at anchor on the horizon. A note on the negative says the photographer is using Camera B.
