A man standing by a two-wheeled hand cart which contains a shark. The man is wearing a cloth cap and a jumper with the word FAVOURITE on it. The hand cart belongs to the Seasalter & Ham Oyster Company Ltd and the shark is entangled in a fishing net. The hand cart is on an unidentified street that has four-storey early Victorian bay windowed properties with very small forecourts. Steel guard rails are on the front edge of the pavement, which is possibly a promenade. The scene is probably a coastal location in Kent of East Sussex.
