Inside the fitting shop at Chatham Dockyard, Kent. Heavy duty, belt-driven machinery, including lathes, line the side of the shop which has a glazed wall and partly glazed roof. A note of the vertical format negative says the photographer is using Camera A with an exposure of 10 seconds.
