The Coast Guard hut on Walmer beach, Kent.
The Coast Guard hut on Walmer beach, Kent. It is built on stilts and a man is standing at the foot of the steps leading up to the door. He is not wearing a Coast Guard uniform but is holding a furled signal flag in his left hand. Afloat just offshore on the right is the single masted, lug-rigged dinghy Isabel Adams (Fl. 1890) with one man at the oars.
