The rear of the bridge, mainmast and funnel of the tanker Malwa (1961) while underway bound into Chiba Bay, Japan. The photographer is standing on the port side of the boat deck next to the swimming pool looking forward and to starboard. The funnel is black with a black trident inside a white diamond. The Trident Tankers house flag, consisting of a white diamond with a black trident inside, surrounded by a white, red, yellow and blue triangles, is flying from the port yard and the Japanese courtesy flag is at the starboard yardarm. The ship is on charter to BP and the British Petroleum houseflag is flying inboard of the Trident Tanker house flag. A partially obscured black and yellow striped flag is hoisted at a signal halyard.
