An unidentified naval port installation at sunset
Medium includes graphite. The view was previously identified as Portsmouth from up the harbour towards Gosport, possibly with the bulk of Fort Blockhouse at centre and the Portsmouth Point side not shown. However the long jetty with sheer-legs to the right does not fit, and neither the partially unrigged two-decker to the left nor the steam yacht at centre have yet been identified. The likelihood of it being in the Portsmouth area is only based on Wyllie living there from 1906. [PvdM 9/20]
