A distant view of the north coast of Kent at Reculver. The photographer is in a boat well off the coast looking south-by-east showing the twin towers of the ruins of St. Mildred's Church just to the left of centre. The original spires were destroyed in by storms but in 1819 were replaced with similarly shaped open structures. These spires were removed c. 1929.
