A distant port side view, taken from well abaft the beam, of an unidentified gaff cutter rigged racing yacht under sail in The Downs. She is taking part in a race during Ramsgate Yachting Week and is heeling to port while on a starboard tack with her jib, staysail, mainsail and topsail set. The wreck of the steamship Patria (1894) is on the skyline. The Patria was wrecked on 17 November 1899. A note on the negative says the photographer is using Camera B.
