A slightly distant port side view, taken from well abaft the beam, of an unidentified gaff cutter rigged racing yacht under sail in The Downs. She is taking part in a race during Ramsgate Yachting Week and is heeling to port while on a starboard tack with her flying jib, jib, staysail, mainsail and topsail set. The wreck of the steamship Patria (1894) is on the skyline. The Patria was wrecked on 17 November 1899. A note on the negative says the photographer is using Camera B.
