The Adams family on board the two masted, lug rigged yacht Sea Gull (1874) while under sail in The Downs. Edgar Tarry Adams is in the bow looking aft at Gordon and Pauline, who are lying on the cabin roof. The yacht is on the starboard tack. The photographer, Isabel Mary, is looking forward from the cockpit and a note on the negative says she is using Camera B and the family are singing "Nancy Lea".
