A slightly distant port quarter view of the two masted, lug rigged yacht Sea Gull (1874) launching from the shingle beach at Walmer, Kent. She is being launched bow first and is just about to enter the water. She has her jib and mizzen sail set and her loose-footed mainsail has a twist in it. A vertical format negative. A note on the negative says the photographer is using Camera B about 6 p.m. There is very slight image movement.
