A slightly distant port bow view of the lug rigged yacht Sandpiper (1899) under sail in The Downs. She is the starboard tack in a good breeze and Francis Norris Adams is at the helm. His sisters, Isabel Mary and Pauline are in the boat, keeping their heads down. A note on the vertical format negative says the photographer is using Camera A.
