A slightly distant port bow view of the lug rigged yacht Sandpiper (1899) under sail in The Downs. She is on the starboard tack and has a small staysail set and the lugsail boomed out to port. She is flying the burgee of the Cambridge University Cruising Club. Her bow is rising on a wave. The horizon is not quite level. A vertical format negative.
