A slightly distant starboard bow view, taken from very fine off the bow, of the lug rigged dinghy Spitfire (1898) on the beach at Walmer, Kent. She has just come ashore and her lugsail is still set with the boom swung port. Edgar Tarry Adams is standing by the starboard side collecting items to put in the boatshed. Another man is walking up the beach carrying the boat's life float and stirrup pump. The lug rigged dinghy Isabel Adams (Fl. 1890), always called "the lifeboat" by the Adams family, is on the right of the picture. A vertical format negaive.
