A distant starboard bow view of a lug rigged dinghy on the shingle beach at Walmer, Kent. The boat has her lug sail hoisted and the wind is coming from the starboard side. An unidentified man is standing by the port bow of the boat. The photographer is looking to seaward from the top of the beach and there are patches of snow on the shingle. The Adams family owned two of these dinghies: Spitfire (1898) and Sandpiper (1899).
