A starboard bow view of the German four masted barque Herzogin Sophie Charlotte (1894) at anchor in The Downs. Her starboard anchor and starboard boat boom are deployed and she is in ballast. A number of working stages are suspended over the side and she has an accommodation ladder rigged aft. A vertical format negative. Negatives numbers N19511 to N19513 were taken on the same occasion.
