A bow view, taken from dead ahead, of the brigantine Islander (1876) at anchor in The Downs. Her starboard anchor is deployed. Some of the crew are working on her lower topsail yard. Three other sailing vessels are at anchor on the skyline. The horizon is not quite level. A vertical format negative. Negative number N19529 was taken on the same occasion.
