A close starboard side view, taken from well abaft the beam, of an unidentified salvage cutter during diving operations on the wreck of the steamship Patria (1894) in The Downs. Divers are getting ready in a rowing boat alongside the salvage cutter. The stern and the top of the mast of the cutter are out of the picture. The wreck of the Patria is on the right. She was wrecked on 17 November 1899 after being abandoned heavily on fire and her wreck was blown up during July and August 1900. A note on the negative says the photographer was using Camera B.
