A port broadside view of the three masted Norwegian barque Actaeon (1838) at anchor in The Downs with a tug alongside. Her port anchor is deployed, she has a high bowsprit and a windmill pump (onker) is between the main and mizzen masts. The steam tug alongside the barque's port beam. The photographer is in a boat to seaward looking towards the Kent coast and there is slight image movement. A note on the negative says the photographer is using Camera B. Negative number N19564 was taken on the same occasion.
