A port quarter view of the ketch Charlotte (1863) under sail in The Downs. She has her mainsail, main topsail and mizzen sail set and is on the starboard tack. She is heading north and a three masted barquentine is at anchor in the right background. A note on the vertical format negative says the photographer is using Camera A. Negative number N19576 was taken on the same occasion.
