A starboard quarter view of the workboat DN 50 (flourishing 1981) sitting inside a split hopper barge at Singapore. The photographer is standing in the wheelhouse of the split barge looking forward to the bow showing how the workboat has been secured in the open hold. The words "DN 50 Brugge" are painted on the stern of the workboat. The barge, which is either the Magellano 1800 or the Verrazzono 1800, is berthed starboard side to the suction dredger Marco Polo (1979). An unidentified cargo ship is passing in front of the split barge. Singapore city can be seen in the background. This is Slide 4 of a lecture given by Captain Henry P. Bird detailing his service as Navigator on board the suction dredger Marco Polo (1979) owned by Jan De Nul from 11 February 1981 to 3 March 1981. The lecture consists of 23 slides.
