On board the suction dredger Marco Polo (1979) while under way between Singapore and Abu Dhabi. The photographer is standing just ahead of the wheelhouse looking forward towards the bow showing the three 200ft steel tubes (also known as spuds) lying transversely along the forward part of the vessel. A pile of wood planks along with sections of steel pipes are situated in between the spuds on deck. This is Slide 6 of a lecture given by Captain Henry P.
