A starboard bow view, taken from wide off the bow, of the paddle tug and excursion vessel Conqueror (1897) under way in The Downs.

A starboard bow view, taken from wide off the bow, of the paddle tug and excursion vessel Conqueror (1897) under way in The Downs. A number of passengers are on board and she is flying the chequered houseflag of the Elliott Steam Tug Co. (Dick & Page) at the foremast. She has been repainted in a new livery of black hull with white lining and white upperworks. Her stern is very close to the edge of the negative and the image is slightly out of focus. A note on the vertical format negative says the photographer is using Camera B.
