A slightly distant port bow view, taken from across the quay fine off the bow, of the German passenger liner Deutschland (1900) alongside the Prince of Wales Pier in Dover Harbour. Only her superstructure, funnels and masts are visible, the rest of the ship being hidden by the pier and people on the pier. She is making smoke from the forefunnel. A paddle tug is berthed on the opposite side of the pier. A vertical format negative.
