On board the passenger excursion steamer Koh-i-noor (1892) while under way in the Thames Estuary. The photographer is looking aft from the port side of the upper deck abreast the forefunnel just forward of the bridge, showing passengers sitting down or walking along the deck. The ship's captain, possibly N.E. Hucker, is standing on the port bridge wing by one of the telegraphs. The second-in-command, wearing lieutenant's rings on his sleeve, is standing by the other telegraph. The ship is making light smoke. A note on the negative says the photographer is using Camera B.
