A distant port quarter view of an unidentified general cargo ship under way heading south in The Downs. The ship is laden and has two masts and a single funnel. She has a clipper bow with a bow scroll, a raised forecastle, a flush deck and awning bars rigged aft. The name on her stern consists of six letters but it is not quite legible. Her port of registry is also not legible. The South Foreland is in the background. Negative number N19856 is a port bow view of the same vessel taken on the same occasion.
