A slightly distant starboard bow view, taken from wide off the bow, of the salvage vessel Triton (1864) just under way in The Downs. her port anchor is suspended over the bow and she has two boats on painters astern. She is returning from the wreck of the steamer Patria (1894). The Patria was wrecked in The Downs on 17 November 1899 and she was demolished by explosives in 1900 and 1901. A note on the negative says the photographer is using Camera B. Negative number N19866 was taken on the same occasion.
