A three-quarter length portrait of Captain Henry Bird standing on the quayside in front of the motor tugs Halaib (1980) and Trinkitat (1980) berthed at Borkum, Germany. Three workboats are on the left hand side. The Halaib is berthed alongside a quay and the Trinkitat is berthed outboard of her and both tugs are seen from almost dead ahead. The blue and white patterned Henry Abrams & Son Ltd House flag is flying from the port signalling halyard on the Halaib.
