A general bow view of five general cargo steamships and a steam tug in one of the enclosed docks at Liverpool. A vessel on the left is berthed starboard side to the quay and another steamer in ballast and with a slight list to port is berthed outboard of her. A tug is towing a steamer, which is in ballast, into the dock. They are viewed from off the starboard bow. In the background is the T. & J. Harrison cargo liner Workman (1898) berthed port side to another ship which is port side to the quay.
