A port near broadside view, taken from just abaft the beam, of an unidentified steam coaster under way in The Downs. She has a single funnel and two masts and her engines are amidships. Her raised forecastle, the superstructure and most of her hull aft of amidships are visible in silhouette against a low sun. The rest of her hull is hidden by the sea swell. The horizon is not level.
