Looking forward over the starboard bulwark from abaft the wheelhouse on board the motor tug Halaib (1980) at sea on her delivery voyage from Germany to Sudan. The Halaib is moving through the water at speed causing a large bow wave (the photographer describes it as "running with a bone in her mouth"). Two doors leading into the wheel house are open and a temporary wooden breakwater is in place at the aft end of the foredeck. This is Slide 11 of a lecture titled "World Wide Ship Delivery" given by Captain Henry P. Bird detailing his service as Chief Officer on board the motor tug Halaib (1980) owned by Sea Ports Corporation of Sudan from 26 March 1980 to 18 April 1980. The lecture consists of 23 slides.
