A bow view, taken from fine off the port bow, of the motor tugs Halaib (1980 and Trinkitat (1980) berthed in the corner of a jetty in Port Sudan, Sudan. The Trinkitat is berthed port side to the quay with the Halaib berthed outboard of the Trinkitat. A floating pontoon is ahead of the tugs. The Halaib is dressed from its mast to its bow whilst Trinkitat is only dressed on its mast. The Sudanese national flag is flying from the Halaib's starboard outer halliard whilst the blue and white patterned Henry Abrams & Sons Ltd House flag is flying from the port inner halliard. The blue and white patterned Henry Abrams & Sons Ltd House flag is flying from the Trinkitat's starboard outer halliard. Both tugs are fitted with fire monitors on either side of the wheelhouse roof. A Sudanese man dressed in a black jumper and trousers is sitting on a bollard on the pontoon off the starboard bow of Halaib. A Sudanese woman dressed in a white shirt and a pink skirt is sitting on the quayside next to the man. An unidentified cargo ship is moored to a quayside on the left of the image. This is Slide 19 of a lecture titled "World Wide Ship Delivery" given by Captain Henry P. Bird detailing his service as Chief Officer on board the motor tug Halaib (1980) owned by Sea Ports Corporation of Sudan from 26 March 1980 to 18 April 1980. The lecture consists of 23 slides.
