A smith using a mobile oxy-acetylene torch in one of the bays of Number 5 Machine Shop in Chatham Dockyard. He is cutting the angled end off an iron pipe which is sitting on top of a wire cage. The cut is almost complete and the end of the pipe is about ready to fall. A vertical format image. Transparencies PCT3142 to PCT3149 were taken of the same operation.
