A film crew making a video of the galvanising process in the zinc galvanising shop in Number 1 Boiler Shop in Chatham Dockyard. A man in overalls and holding tongs is standing by the film crew looking at the galvanising tank which has a cloud of vapour or steam above it. A man is standing beyond the far end of the tank with the controls of the overhead electric traveller, ready to lift the newly treated metal out of the tank. The film crew are on the left of the picture with one operating the camera and another holding a floodlight to facilitate the filming. Another technician is holding up a floodlight on the right side of the tank.
