A full length portrait of Don Cameron, Chief Engineer, working in the control room on board the lighthouse and buoy tender Relume (1979) while under way at sea on her delivery voyage from Troon to Bahrain. Cameron is wearing white overalls, smoking a cigarette and operating a lever on the console in the middle ground. The engineer's logbook is open at the near end of the console. This is Slide 13 of a lecture titled "World Wide Ship Delivery" given by Captain Henry P. Bird detailing his service as Chief Officer for the delivery of the lighthouse and buoy tender Relume (1979) owned by Middle East Navigation Aids Service from 3 May 1979 to 18 June 1979 and then Chief Officer for the delivery of the lighthouse and buoy tender Relume I (1952) owned by the same company to the ship breakers yard from 18 June 1979 to 30 June 1979. The lecture consists of 30 slides.
