An overhead view of part of a model of Chatham Dockyard as it existed in the mid 1700s. A ship is under construction on a slip on the right. Her stem post is in position and the lower futtocks have been fitted to the keel. On the left is the mastless hull of a 5th Rate in an open-ended dock and the name Glory has been written on the model. A stock of iron anchors is on the ground in the centre. Transparencies numbers PCT3428 to PCT3432 were taken on the same occasion.
