The lighthouse on the island of Jazirat Salami (also known as Jazirat Tadmur) in the Strait of Hormuz, taken from on board the lighthouse and buoy tender Relume I (1952). The photographer is standing on the port side of the ship looking north north west. The bottom part of the lighthouse is obscured by the island cliff face. The Relume I is on her way from Bahrain to the breaker's yard at Karachi, where she arrived on 25 June 1979.

This is Slide 30 of a lecture titled "World Wide Ship Delivery" given by Captain Henry P. Bird detailing his service as Chief Officer for the delivery of the lighthouse and buoy tender Relume (1979) owned by Middle East Navigation Aids Service from 3 May 1979 to 18 June 1979 and then Chief Officer for the delivery of the lighthouse and buoy tender Relume I (1952) owned by the same company to the ship breakers yard from 18 June 1979 to 30 June 1979. The lecture consists of 30 slides.
